I agree that Baden-Powell's daughter is correct in stating that her father
would not agree with homosexual's being allowed to join the Boy Scouts.
However, I disagree with the statement that they have no place in Scouting.
Baden-Powell's beliefs were based on a belief system that is almost a century
old! What was held to be "true" then, is not what is held to be "true" now.
My definition of morally straight may differ from yours, but they are both
accurate according to the individual doing the defining. The fact is that
homosexuals have a lot to offer that has nothing to do with their decision
on their sexual orientation. This is my opinion, it may not be yours.
