Hi all,
In our chapter, if a brother misses 3 meetings (or two meetings in a
row) in a semester they are brought before the e-board for suspension. We
require
excuse notes for missed meetings. You come, plead your case, and if it's
a good one (which it usually is) we let you off. The worst we've done in
recent past is given extra service hours for each meeting missed. If a
brother doesn't complete the 20 hours, or perhaps doesn't pay dues, they
are automatically suspended until they either pay dues or fulfill the
service hour delinquency. This may seem a tad harsh, but it works, and
our brothers constantly acheive well over 20 service hours a semester.
