From an APO point of view, it has no where to go but up. :)
Utah (Section 13) has no active chapters and hasn't had an active chapter
since Snow College was declared inactive in the late '80s. As there are
no active chapters, the sectional chair is appointed by the Regional
Director. The sectional chair is Matthew Troth (mtroth@bpa.arizona.edu)
and he lives in Arizona. The other person who might be able to put you in
contact with APO brothers and efforts there is Tony
Ploughe(Ploughe@mindspring.com) , the Region X extension chair.
As for living there, at least read through the entry on the Mormons(Latter
Day Saints) in an encyclopedia to know where to start. Even though Mormons
make up less than 70% of the population of Utah now, the history of the
state is the history of the Mormon Church.
