Congratulations to the Alpha Gamma Chi Chapter at Frostburg State
University for hosting a fun, educational and successful spring
conference. Highlights of the weekend included:
Shelly McCormick-Lane elected Section Chair (sending Lee Peters into
immediate retirement). Words of encouragement may be sent to Shelly at
SMLn@aol.com.
The Section overwhelmingly supports the DC 2000 bid! Watch out Pittsburgh,
here we come! Watch for the upcoming home page for more info.
Zeta Mu (Catholic University) wins the furthest traveled award (they beat
American University Petitioning group by 4 miles).
Epsilon Mu (University of Maryland, College Park) won the most brothers
in attendance award.
The highlight of the weekend was the Country Line Dancing held Saturday
night. This unique program was a blast (just ask Lee Correll). The
DJs/instructors lowered the price for the evening after they found out
that Alpha Phi Omega was a service organization! What a tribute to the
fraternity!
The Mu Alpha Chapter (Georgetown University) will host the 1998 Section
84 Conference.
Again, congratulations to Alpha Gamma Chi for a job well done.
