St. Bonaventure University has had Alpha Beta Beta chapter since 1982, and as far as I know, they're the only fraternity on campus, not counting academic and honor fraternities. At least, that's how it was about five years ago when I gratuated from there.

I think APhiO was allowed because its principles mesh well with those of the Campus Ministry. SBU is a Franciscan college in a very small town (Allegany, NY, where I grew up). There has always been a good amount of service done through the Campus Ministry there -- as I recall, the brothers and I and a few other friends of the chapter used to meet at the Ministry every Friday at 2:30 to go to the Warming House, a sort of soup kitchen where we'd volunteer. I think they have their meetings at the Ministry these days, not sure about that.

Any Alpha Beta Betas out there to confirm? I'd like to here from you.
