Thanks for that address Sarah! The following web site lists a slightly
different variation of the address you gave for the Salvation Army
there...it might be a good idea to check out this web page:

Just for reference, this site is from the Grand Forks Herald, the local
newspaper (their home page is http://www.gfherald.com). The above page
lists a lot of resources for the local community, but it also notes that
"To determine legitimacy of fund-raising organizations, call the secretary
of state in North Dakota at (701) 328-3665 or (612) 296-2803 in Minnesota."
The paper has a great deal of content at the moment on the flood -- the
building that the paper *was* housed in was burned during the flood, but
they have continued publication by using some nearby buildings and the St.
Paul Pioneer Planet is printing the papers and housing the web space -- and
it's a *fabulous* source of info about the community, what's going on, what
has happened, etc.
