Why wouldn't it be? Unless the alumni organization happens to be
chairing a rush event and offering drinks as a recruitment incentive, or
something similar for pledges (neither sems to be very likely from your
message), it's probably not going to run afoul of the membership policies
on alcohol.
Just make sure that the alcohol is not given to those who are underage,
and follow the other rquirements in the new risk management policy, (and,
of course, al applicable laws and insitutional regulations) and you
should be clear.
