Hello everyone. This is kinda long but if you have a few moments, I was
hoping you could send me some info...
I have heard that some chapters have much lower dues than I was used to as
an active brother (Ours were $40 a semester ). I was wondering if those of
you with dues under $25/semester could answer a few questions re your dues
for me.
I assume that your dues includes $4 that goes to AAMD per semester, per
person ($8 annual) (we split it out of each semester so we don't take a huge
hit in the fall).
Knowing that, what is it that is covered through the remaining dues? Do you
help officers pay for copies, batteries, rush materials etc. and does your
budget cover things like retreat, banquet, picnics?
Also, if you could give me an approximation of how many dues paying brothers
you have each semester and how much fundraising you do, that would be very
helpful as well. ie your spending budget for the semester per active
brother. Also, what do you charge pledges for chapter dues and if you
don't, do they pay cash for certain activities to help cover costs? How
many pledges do you support in a given semester?
Last but not least, are you active in the summer and, if so, do you pay dues
and, if so, how much?
