Hello brothers,

Well we're into June and we're just a few weeks away from the start of the
summer season of the Alpha Phi Omega Chapter Program Workshops.

If you have not done so already or if you're still thinking about registering to
come to one of the 10 sites this summer for one of the best leadership
development weekends our fraternity offers, we still have plenty of room for you
and the other brothers from your chapter.

The CPW program is designed to better prepare current or incoming chapter
officers or active brothers who want to become officers or sectional and
regional staffers who work closely with chapters or members of interest and
petitioning groups who want more knowledge about running a quality chapter.

The 10 weekend directors have been busily getting their staffs organized for the
CPW weekends and the site coordinators have been working to get all of the final
arrangements completed for your weekend.

All we need is you to register and attend one of the CPWs across the nation.

There has been one change since my last APO-L message. That change is the Region
IX site has been changed again (for the last time this year) and will be at
Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Region IX Director Tanya Refshauge is directing
that weekend and it promises to be a great experience.

If your are interested in attending a CPW and you need a form, simply call the
National Office at 816-373-8667 or email Pat Burke, our beloved National
Executive Director, at aponed@aol.com and he'll get a form right out to you or
register you over the phone. It's that easy.

The cost for the weekend is $40.

As of today, June 2, all sites are still ''GO!!''

Here's a list of CPW sites for 1997. We've tried to locate as many as possible
to serve the entire fraternity in key locations across the nation.

Region i
Rider University, June 27-29, Rick Bojko directing.
University of Maine, July 25-27, Betsy Ullrich directing.

Region II
Rensselaer Polytechnic Inst., July 25-27, Pete Fagen directing.

Region III
North Carolina State University, Aug. 1-3, Lyndal Butler directing.

Region IV

Region V
Carnegie-Mellon University, July 11-13, Rick Martin directing.

Region VI

Region VII
University of Houston, July 25-27, Sean Stapleton directing.

Region VIII

Note: Region X held a CPW in February in Seattle and will be holding another CPW
in Sacramento this October.

Also, a CPW will be held in December prior to the Region I/II Conference.

The National Leadership Development Committee is looking forward to seeing you
at a CPW this summer and the CPW staff's are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to
share their knowledge and experiences to help make you a better chapter leader.

In Leadership, Friendship and Service,

Ed Richter
National CPW Coordinator
