Dear Brothers of Alpha Phi Omega,
I just wanted to update you today on how registration is going so far for the
1997 summer session of the Chapter Program Workshop.
CPWs are scheduled for nine of the 10 regions (except for Region X which
already hosted one in February and will be hosting another one in October in
Sacramento), and Region I will be hosting two this summer.
So far in our effort to be as convenient as possible to every brother in the
fraternity, we've been very successful as wel have healthy registrations in
almost all regions, except for the CPW slated at the University of Colorado
at Boulder in Region VIII.
The two registrants there have opted to go to the CPW in Iowa in Region IX.
In other words, there are now zero registrants for that weekend.
At the 30-mark, we are forced to make a decision whether or not to proceed.
That deadline is Wednesday, June 11. In order to have a CPW there needs to be
at least 15 student participants.
If there are not 15 participants signed up by Wednesday, the Boulder CPW will
be cancelled. If you are from Region X or Region VIII and are interested in
attending the CPW in Boulder, YOU MUST NOTIFY THE NATIONAL OFFICE ASAP AND
LET US KNOW THAT YOU ARE COMING NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY.
You can let the office know you are coming and can work out the payment
arrangement with them by calling 816-373-8667 or by email at aponed@aol.com
or apoadmin@aol.com for registration information.
We have a great staff lined up and I know those attending there would have a
great leadership development experience which would benefit their chapters
and themselves.
Again, the deadline is this Wednesday, June 11. To keep this even alive, we
need 15 student participants.
I will be sending out a message on Thursday, June 12 to let everyone know if
there will be a CPW at the University of Colorado on the weekend of July
11-13. It will be a disappointment if we are forced to cancel this CPW
weekend.
In Leadership, Friendship and Service,
Ed Richter
National CPW Coordinator
