As a consideration for the type of conferences other that World Jamborees

Subject: World Scout Youth Forum 1999

"There is a summit in Africa"

                         - South African Chief Scout Mr Nkwenkwe Nkomo

Young Scout leaders from countries around the world have many experiences
to share and much to offer in leading their Scout organisations.

The 7th World Scout Youth Forum will offer these leaders a chance to meet,
to learn from each other, and to show the Scouting world what they can
offer.

The venue for this event is the sunny city of Durban on the East coast of
South Africa. The forum will take place from 20 to 23 July 1999,
immediately before the 36th World Scout Conference from 26 to 30 July,
also in Durban

The Youth Forum will take place at Michaelhouse School, which has a top
boarding house and conference facilities. Apart from the business of
the forum, participants will also experience the beautiful African
outdoors in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.

The forum will be hosted by the South African African Scout Association
with assistance from other Scout associations in Southern Africa and
the rest of the continent.

Each country will be invited to send 2 delegates and up to 4 observers.
Make sure your association comes to Africa in 1999, to see the Scout
Movement into the 21st Century!
