Brothers,
Not that it will make too much of a difference, but I live in
Kansas City, MO and currently operate a mini-ISP. We have a static IP
address, and also have capability (assuming minor monetary support) to
offer complete InterNet capability to APO. Such an endeavor would, of
course, include:
E-mail
Any Shell Processes (Lynx, Pine, Gopher, IRC, etc.)
Perhaps 1-800 Dial-up and PPP/Slip
And anything else needed (web space, etc.)
My only qualm is that I'm not currently of the financial
capability to make all this happen by myself. Perhaps, though, individual
brothers would be willing to support this endeavor by personal donations,
or, perhaps (just thinking here) have a $10/month fee for personal e-mail
accounts on the system. (a.k.a. - yourname@apo.org)
Just thinking, as the resources exist, just not some of the backup
financially (as is the case with most things like this).
Lemme know what you think, I can put up demos by tonight, if you want
them. ;)
