OK. I'm getting both lists with this, because I believe that it is a relevant
question to direct to both. So here goes :
When I receive mail from either list, I see the address of the person who
sent it and the subject line as well. To find out which list it came from,
I have to read the message and examine the headers.
Another, non-apo related mailing list I'm on does things a bit differently.
Each piece of the mail from the list still contains the person's e-mail
address (in the reply to field, but also as 'originator' of the mail), but in
the subject line, mail from the list is delineated by [listname] and then
the subject. Basically what is between the [ and ] is the name of the list.
My question to the administrators is this :
Can this be done?
My question to the list users is :
Should this be done?
I do know the other mailing list is supposed to be some version of a
majordomo mailing list server, but that's all. I can ask for details if needed.
I apologize if this is something that has been covered before, but in the year
or so that I've been on the list, I don't recall seeing it.
