Loren is right, and a word of warning. Qu=E8bec, has the toughtest=20
anti-radar detector laws in North America. Get caught with one in La =
Belle=20
Province (that even means in the trunk) and you get a 500 Canadian =
dollar fine,=20
seizure of said device (which usually means you have to run it over in =
front of=20
the cop), and an automatic guilty on ANY speeding violation you are =
pulled over=20
for. Most provinces/states don't screw around with laws like that.=20
For those roadtrippers out there among us (I drove almost 20k miles for =
=20
APO last year, never mind personal) it's generally best to follow Dave =
Barry's=20
rule of speed limits. The speed limit the cop will pull you over for is =
5 to 10=20
over what it says on the sign UNLESS the cop does not like the way you =
look then=20
the effective speed limit is ZERO. So be warned and speed at your OWN =
risk.
