That all sounds right. Fred is from that area (Very much a "New Yorker:. :)
and I thought I remembered something about him running for public office
once he was no longer on the board.

He was Membership and Extension M@L for at least two terms (1988-1992?)
and I think he was M@L for Leadership before that(??).

He gave the "Growing Pains" and the Pledge Trainer Roundtable at the
Convention in Phoenix

He's not on APO-L, but I'm sure that one of the current board will give
you confirmation...
