Simple questions and answers. I hope this clears up about
a ron and a half of confusion.
Deadline to make any list: midnight tomorrow. I'm not playing.
I have homework, work, and other things to do.
"Who are you?" A Chi Pi alumna who graduated in 1994.
I administrate an unofficial internet list server for alumni.
That's it. These lists are separate entities.
"What's the Soc list?" From what I remember, the list was
members of Soc_l who wanted to keep in touch with each other.
Or anyone who didn't have an "official position" who wanted to simply
keep in touch. Listings were full name, Internet nickname,
and current E-mail address. Chapter from. That's it.
I created my alumni list as a separate animal, and used my own standards
for that. You must request to be on the list. I only have my own copies
from an old Brockport account. That means EVEN IF YOU were on it before.
Too many people moved/ changed E-mails in three years. I refuse
to raid chapter lists. You have to contact me, or its a breech of ethics
on my end. Beachbum, correct me if I am wrong. It was your list
originally.
"What's the business list" "Official" fraternity contacts. Again,
you must contact me to be on it. I guess this is Sectional, Regional,
staff type people. Chapter officers. Whatever. I'll throw alumni officers
on there, even. But you still have to contact me. Updates
will be once monthly. Name, E-mail address, fraternity affiliation.
(what's your position?)
Alumni list: this is a literal listing of alumni. Voluntary. You contact
me. I have A LOT of alumni concerned I'll reveal confidential info
without being asked. Wrong. You need to ask to be on the list.
And it will be kept amongst brothers. And I decided to put a searchable
base on a webpage based on suggestion. But its too much work to do with
all three lists. I need your name, E-mail, preferred nickname, chapter
from, year graduated, address, phone, and whatever else you feel like
throwing in there. If the number is unlisted like mine, that's
not a problem. Notice yesterday I wrote "E-mail me for this information".
Anyone else that wishes there were a searchable base for Soc and L:
if you can find me some help doing this, so I don't flunk out of school,
and miss work, I'd me happy to change my mind. Anything else I am
fully committed to. -Joy
