Dear Brothers,
Beta Iota Chapter (New York University) will be celebrating the 60th
anniversary of its (original) chartering,in 1998.
Several brothers have undertaken the task of putting together a chapter
history book/scrapbook which will contain information on the chapter's early
days, the Gamma Omega Chapter from the "other" NYU chapter in the Bronx, and
assorted photos. I may want to get with Mr. Barkhurst (the archives guy) to
see if he has any info, but in the meantime, the chapter is requesting that any
photos you may have with brothers of Beta Iota be sent to:
Beta Iota Scrapbook
c/o Thom Kulesa
285 St. Marks Place(Apt.LG)
Staten Island,NY 10301
All pictures will be returned, but a SASE will help immensely. Or if you have a
scanner,just scan them,and e-mail them to me,and I'll give them to the
chapter.
Oh yeah, does anyone have any way to get in contact with Dr. Glen Nygreen,a
former national president of Alpha Phi Omega? Is he still even alive? Last I
heard,he lived in Scarsdale, not too far from the Bronx (where I live) but a
phone number would be better, since maybe he could fill in the blanks on some
of the chapter's old history.
Thanks.
Yours in leadership,friendship,and service,
Ben Mitchell
