Brothers,
As to Reply to the previous post about Rush; I would like to tell
all of you all about what we do for Rush at Northern Arizona University, the
Alpha Delta Rho chapter.
First thing we do is have a project were we post fliers all over the
campus, approx 300 fliers. We design our own fliers using the art slicks
national provides as well as general information about APO is on the fliers.
We also post dates for information meetings on the fliers; these fliers seem
to be a real effective way of getting people to our info sessions. We also
have a week were we have information booths on campus where we have fliers
for the fraternity and the chapter available and answer questions. We also
have chapter reps talk at the hall council meetings and invite people to our
information meetings.
As a chapter we plan two information meetings a semester on
opposite ends of the campus. At these information meetings we explain what
APO is all about. We have our President, VP Fellowship, VP Service explain
about Leadership, Friendship, and Service - what the chapter has to offer.
We have a question and answer period, and explain the pledge program on an
overhead. At the end of the meeting we have a slide show of actives
preforming service and fellowship activities, which seems to spark a lot of
interest!
The next thing we do is invite the poteintial pledges to a
fellowship and Service project the next week so the people interested can
get a feel for our group. That weekend we have our Pledge Initiation.
We have had outstanding membership expansion due to our information
meetings. Each semester we have doubled our membership due to rush. Infact
we just intiated 29 NEW PLEDGES this past Sunday, putting our group over 60!
