I do apologize for placing this chapter message on a national list but I
was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to bring brothers
together at least on a working standpoint.. I have seen that brothers
only come together when it's fun. Right now it's about 7 people (and
pledges) that are out working on our parade float. When the word work
comes up, people run, but when the word get-together comes up, everyone
shows up. Please help.

TIA (Thanks in advance)
Yours in LFS (You know what that means)
-Joe

I started out with nothing. I still have most of it left.

Please keep this between the brothers ONLY!!! Do NOT forward this to the
pledges. But please pass this on to any inactives that aren't on this
list.

When I joined APO it was because I had an interest in serving my community
and fellowship amongst friends. Sure I am partialy guilty in that I don't
make it to meetings or participate in events but there isn't a reason why
no one else came out. My reasoning is simple, I live outside of town,
without a car and I also work most of the time. I did have off last night
but I spent that time catching up on the work that I have been falling
behind on. The real question is... "Where are the brothers and pledges
that live in town or on campus?" There's no excuse if you were sitting in
the computer lab doing whatever on talker X or watching tv. If you have a
legitimate excuse for not being there (work, big assignment) that's fine,
but if not, why weren't you there.

NOTE- Once a brother, always a brother... Active or not, you are still a
brother.

Sorry I wasn't there last night or going out to the float. Will try to
make it out before it's too late.

The message below got it all started.

Hi...this is your friendly neighborhood homecoming queen candidate. I would
just like to say thank you to all of those who showed up to the caravan (Angel)
and ask why NO ONE else showed up. We are supposed to be a BROTHERHOOD. We do
things together...it's what most people call FELLOWSHIP. I understan everyone
has homework...well so do I! You're not alone in that area. There are those of
us who do above and beyond what is asked, and there are those of us who sit
around and act as if everything should be done for them. If you're not going to
participate in the fraternity, then tell us. We depend on you being there. I
felt stupid and alone out there. Alone as in no one was supporting me.
If you had a class or were injured or sick, that is one thing. But to blow this
off and say "oh, someone else will do it" is CRAP.
If I have offended you, DEAL with it. You offended me by leaving me there alone
and say that you'd be there. I have never been hurt so much by people that I
care about. I'm sorry we expect you all to support one another. If it's too
much to ask, then I think you're in the wrong fraternity.
I'm sorry I wasted your time
