Well, I can tell you what we do at Epsilon Lambda. We have a huge service
program when you compare our active size (25 or so) to the 6,500 people at
this chool and the 25,000 residents in the area. We publich the campus
phone and e-mail directory and usher at all of the athletic games and a
weekly scout swim and a ton of scouting stuff....
But anyway, we get no money from the school (except for $2000 once a
year to cover the $2000 cost of the Freshmen welcome party) so we have $20
a term (three terms) per active and bust our butts to fund rasise. As far
as I know, no one has ever been kept out because of money. In fact one
term that I was inactive (dropped out for a bit) I had 10 people offer to
pay my duues for me.
This $20 plus fundraising money covers all of our projects plus pizza
and pop at rushes, office supplies, delegates fees for conventuions,
pledge project stuff, and etc.
