In the particular case of L, please send
it to me via private E-mail. Based on the special
request of a prospective who is not even a brother
let alone an alumni yet, I re-did the alumni page
to get rid of most of the java, and had the page
repeat in audio what was on the screen so the blind could
hear it. There is also an option for things to be signed
in ASL. What I am wondering is 1) Is there a valid need for
this in Aphio amongst alumni on my unoffical alumni page? (I have frozen
access to the page until I figure this out) The page is now
taking longer to load because I added this stuff. Or is it better
to offer than option to those who specifically request is on another
sight? (I moved the message board and guest book to sponsored sights.
See previous posts or ask me so I don't waste more bandwidth.) I
did a serious search of many frat web sights, and have not found
one with an option for larger type, or audio options. I did find
the toast song in audio several times, but that's it. Then I did
a greater search of the web, and found not one blind-acessible sight.
If there is not a need for this, I am going to remove it from the page,
and put it back up to the public tomorrowish. The unofficial page has
the alumni, Soc and business lists I am updating, chat servers (with
where most of the audio would have real use for someone with little or no
other access to IRC...then again many specially adopted computers already
have that option....just not from a public library or computer) for alumni
(I wrote an addition applet of my own in java for parachat, which is
already in java....and requested use of someone else's non-java chat room.
IRC has audio options from my page, that can work with Soc too. Since
I wrote my own C code, I refuse to release it unless there's an actual
need for it. I am not a professional programmer, I did it as a hobby
thing for fun.) Thank you for your help. -Joy
