The closest thing that we have to community service office in town
is our office. The people in the community know of us and contact one of
our advisors to get assistance. We also get requests from the town
office.

We are answerable only to the APO national office, although we
exsist with the permission of the school.

That would imply that we get paid, but we have about 50 of us that
we can focus on a project if need be.

I am not sure if this is what you had in mind. Castine is a town
of 600 with academy doubling that number while school is in session. That
obliviates the need for a true program for the town. I thought that I
would send it in case you are just wondering what is "out there." Whether
we count as a community service office or not is up to you.
