Greetings from Epsilon Gamma,

This is just a reminder that the SLeD (Section 89 Leadership Day) will
be in a week and a half. That's November 15th here in Beautiful Alfred
(directions are at the end of the message). The fun begins at 11:00 am and
will last until about 4:00 pm.
Following this you can have time to change and find food before
Epsilon Gamma's annual formal dance party. The theme is a fairytale
tea party and admission is Free.
Sleeping accomodations can be found for those who wish to remain the
night after the dance. However, please e-mail in advance.
Any questions or comments, please send to Hawleymp@bigvax.alfred.edu .
Hope to see everyone there.

    Directions To Alfred University

From New York City (6 hours from campus)
Take New York Route 17 west to exit 33 at Almond. Follow signs for the
University to Route 21 south and to Route 244 into Alfred.

From Rochester (1 1/2 hours from campus)
Take I-390 south to exit 4, the second Dansville exit. Turn right onto
Route 36 south and continue through Arkport. Take Route 17 west to
exit 33, and follow "From New York City" directions.

From Buffalo (2 hours from campus)
Take I-90 west, the New York State Thruway, to exit 54, Route 400
south (which becomes Route 16 to Route 39 east and then to Route 98
south). Take Route 98 to Route 243, and 243 to Route 19 south. At
Belmont, turn left onto Route 244 east to Alfred.

   From the Northeast
Take the New York State Thruway (I-90) to exit 42 at Geneva. Take
Route 14 south, near Dresden, take a right onto Route 54 through Penn
Yan to Bath and Route 17 west. Take 17 to exit 33 and follow "From New
   York City" directions.

   From the West
Take Route 17 east, to exit 33 in Almond. Follow signs for the
University to Route 21 south and to Route 244 into Alfred; or, exit
Route 17 at Route 19 south and follow "from Buffalo" directions.

   From the South
Take Route 15 North to Corning, NY, or take Route 87 North to
Binghamton, NY. Follow Route 17 West to exit 33 at Almond. Follow
signs for the University to Route 21 South and to Route 244 in Alfred.

   On Campus
Because it is a weekend there will be a number of places to park. The
best two can be found by driving through *the* stoplight and taking your first
left. Then taking your next right. There will be one lot on your left and if
that is full you can take another left and there will be a lot further up the
hill, also on the left.
The SLeD itself will be held in the Powell Campus Center, a light
colored brick building that has blue trim (it looks like it is duct taped
together) You can find it by coming out of the first parking lot, turning right
and walking downhill. It will be on the left. There will be signs and
everything is on the second floor.
Good luck, hope to see everyone next Saturday.

                                Lissa
