Actually, in all respects the Boy Scouts has sucessfully defeated many
lawsuits concerning religion and sex. Boy Scouts has not integrated for
the same reasons as Girl Scouts. It's a boy's club. The reason it is
able to requir "NO OBJECTION" to religious activities in scouts is because
we are founded on the ideals of God. "We are reverant. On my honor, I'll
do my best to do my duty to God and my country" Being founded on those
principles and actively doing so, why would someone join a club that
practiced that religion knowing they don't believe in that. That is one
reason I am proud of being an eagle scout. The group that I joined when I
was 13, does not bend to be politically correct, but instead maintain a
tradition that scouts can speak of going all the way back to our
grandfathers and beyond. It's that tradition that I value and am proud of.
