List Members,

Just a quick clarification on the exclusion of females from the Scouting
program. Girls are not permitted to join as Cub Scouts (grades 1-6) or
as Boy Scouts (ages 11-18), and are not permitted as youth Arrowmen
(ages 11-21). However, young women are allowed in the Explorer program
(ages 14-21) without restriction, and women 18 years and older may serve
as adult leaders for the Cub and Boy programs and for the district and
upwards, and women 21 years and up may serve as adults for the OA and
Exploring and may be employed by the council.

So the restriction really only applies to youth membership in the
"mainstream" programs, not against women as a whole. Hope this helps!
