Brotger Mark your are very much correct on the point of fact that Frank
Reed Horton did not say i give you this right. But on the same note if he
had at the time wanted women in the first chapter he would have innitiatd
them. But that is neither here nor there. The fact that the fraternity as
a whole decided in 1976 to allow women in as an added tool to
better serving the campus, community, chapter, and country decided to
allow those chapter who felt that in the best interest of maintaining the
chapter needed to be all male the ability to do this. We do not disagree
with the decision to allow women but we do disagree with the loss of
determining our own membership. Personaly i enjoy meeting brothers from
other chapters. We feel we know what is best for our chapter not someone
who has never been here or knows what it is like as an all male chapter.
In other word walk in our shoes before you condem us.
This was dome with no malice only a supreme wish that people gain a better
understanding of all male chapters.
