Here at AGH we have had several conversations about the naming of the pledge
rituals, to most here we feel they are backwards. when I think of Induction,
I think of things like the hall of fame where you have to be voted on, and
then after the ceromony you are officially part of the group. and initiation
seems to find better for the ceremony that falls at the begining of
pledging, because you initiate your trip through the pledging process. you
start the process to become a brother.
usually we call the first ceremony "pledging up" and the second "brothering
up" unofficially that is, it is correct in all our bylaws and stuff.
just thought I'd through that out.
