I am here by throwing my support behind a filter being installed at
the source that will prevent and message with all-male or open membership
in it being sent out.
On a more serious note, I hope that it is realized that this list
is losing members, because the volume of repeditive emails. And I think
that is wrong. The more on this list the better for the fraternity. It is
a great way to cross communicate and get important fraternity information
accross to people quickly. And efforts should be made to increase its
suscripership, not demin ish it.
The discussions such as these that constantly spring up flood
unnecessarily email accounts and force many with modem and limited space
off the list.
So when someone said this discussion will do nothing, they were
wrong. It will serve to limit the group to ever shrinking core of members.

P.S. Would it be possible to limit the number of postings to say 10 or 20
per day. I think that would have a sobering effect on discussions like
this and allow them to blow over quicker.
