I have an idea. Why not split APO-L into 2 lists:
APONEWS-L: for information on upcoming events, chapter schedules, recent
project reports, new brothers, new officers, and the like. Questions only
on clarification of info posted there.
APODISC-L: for discussion on fraternity ideology, legislation and misc. issues.
That way, many of us can still subscribe to everything, while some can choose
one or the other, to get their share of info or discussion without too much
mailbox clutter.
Let's face it- this list will only get larger- I think there's been about
a 25% growth in the last year or two, and it's 10x larger than when I joined
in 1989. Soon enough, it may have over 1000 readers and more discussion than
the most popular Usenet newsgroups. Division by subject material may be
necessary before you know it.
