Well, the time has almost come for me to sign off the fraternity
listservs. Why, ya'll ask? I am about to go someplace where I won't
have access to email--I'm going to basic training for the Florida National
Guard. I should be going sometime later this month, but I'm leaving the
list now because I've had to put all my stuff (including my computer) in
storage, so I won't have as reliable access to my email account.
Basic and AIT (the advanced school where you learn your specific job
skills) should take me about seven months. After I get back, I will be
moving directly to Pensacola, FL to finish up school at U. West Florida,
which the National Guard is paying for (note to all Brothers at state
schools who need financial aid--the National Guard will pay your tuition!
And all you have to do is go to drill one weekend a month and two weeks in
the summer). I should be back on the list then.
Anyway, that's the plan. I have to make it through basic training first,
but I don't think that will be too tough.
So, Happy New Year to everyone, and until we meet again, good luck!
