Brothers, an interesting request has been brought to me:
A sister of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority, Inc. has left a
message in our National webpage guestbook (www.apo.org) wondering if Alpha Phi
Omega would be interested in forming a brother/sister alliance with Gamma Sigma
Sigma Sorority. From my understanding, the two organizations will be constitu-
tionally bound. In essence, Alpha Phi Omega will support all of Gamma Sigma Sigma
Sigma's service projects and endeavors and vice versa. Despite the fact that borh
both organizations are technically co-ed, the gender ratios in our organizations
IMHO should be of no consequence. IMHO, this is basically a reciprocal support
agreement between service organizations and should be seen as such ONLY.
Remember, to some extent Alpha Phi Omega helped Gamma Sigma Sigma get started.
I am strongly considering sending a proposal to the '98 Convention Committee
provided that by consensus, the Gamma Sigs are likely to support this bond.
BTW, if you would like to read the original post, it is in the December '97
Guest Book at the National homepage (www.apo.org). Her name is Kim Sainson and
her e-mail address is sainson@udel.edu. She may be subscribing to APO-L to read
the posts, so show her love.
If you are skeptical about the APO/GSS bond being strong, please visit the
AyPhiQue/Gamma-Sig website at members.tripod.com/~APQGSS/ or feel free to drop
an e-mail at AyphiqueGammaSig@hotmail.com
I just thought I had to pass this on to you.
