Dear Brothers:
Please take the time to read this message. This is especially for
brothers in the NYC metropolitan area.
A few months ago,we learned that a brother of the Beta Iota (New York
University) Chapter,Cindy Moy,was diagnosed with leukemia. She underwent
treatment and showed some improvement,but it appears that she has suffered a
relapse and is in need of a bone marrow transplant,
especially from Asian-Americans. The number for the N.Y. Blood Center is
212-570-3000,
just mention Cindy's name and they will test you out.
If you would like to send Cindy get-well wishes,you can either send it
to Paul Romain at 219-35 114th Avenue,Cambria Heights,NY 11411 or to myself at
100 Alcott Place (29E),Bronx,NY 10475. We'll make sure she gets them.
I knew Cindy when she was a founding member of the rechartering group
back in 1992,and we're rooting for her to beat this thing.
