Hello Section 88 and 89 brothers!
This Saturday, February 28th, the University at Buffalo is having the
Winter Fellowship. Previous information has already been e-mailed to you,
but here are the final details:
We will be meeting at the University Student Union between 5 and 5.30PM
on Saturday afternoon. At 5.30, we will leave for Kissing Bridge Ski
Resort, approximately an hour and a-half drive, and upon arriving we will
take part in their 7.00 two hour sledding session. For $9.00, one can
sled for the allotted time and will recieve a tube and tows up the hill.
If a brother only wants to sled for one time, the cost is $1.50. The
resort has several eating facilities if one is hungry, but extra money
must be brought(between $5 and $10). If it is easier for brothers to meet
at the resort instead of at the school, please wait by the ticket booth
between 6.30 and 7.00. Please remember to dress warmly, but if one does
get cold, there are plenty of lodges to hang out in.
Now onto the directions:
To the University Student Union:
The Amherst/North campus of U.B. is at Route 263 (Millersport
Highway) and Maple Road. From the New York State Thruway (I-90),
take Exit 50 to I-290 (Youngman Memorial Highway), and exit at
Millersport Highway North. Proceed to the State University exit
(SUNYAB-Flint entrance). Once on the campus, proceed from the
exit (you are now on the John James Audubon Parkway) past two
stop lights, one at Flint and the second at Rensch. Next,
exit on your right at White Road, and continue straight past the
stop signs at Hadley and Hamilton until you get to The Furnas
Parking lot on your right hand side (before Lee Road). You can
park in this lot on weekends with out a pass, and the Student
Union is the white 'dome' looking building adjacent to the Furnace
lot. We will be waiting for you by the front doors, so just look
for our letters!!
To Kissing Bridge:
From the 90 West(Erie), Take exit 55 to route 219 (towards
Springville). Take the Armor Duells Rd. exit to Rt. 240 South,
and then follow the signs to Kissing Bridge. Park in the central
area, and meet us at the ticket counter.
