I have two people who said they'd help.
I have some web space. I have some perl code.
Guess I need some data for it to sort. If you
are interested in being put in a voluntary yellow
pages please send me some listings. What I could use help
with now:
1) APO graphics. If sent, please let me know who designed it.
2) Category ideas
3) Submissions (see above)
4) Ideas for how often to update it
5) How to configure the search string (last
name? Section, Region? Chapter from? Should
we stick brother owned businesses on there? Yes,
I mean legit businesses, and not the spam that hit the alum
list recently.)
6) Should photos of brothers be allowed next to entries?
7) If some advertising is permitted of brotherhood businesses,
under what guidelines? Has the national office ever done anything like
that, and sold space as a fundraiser? Or is it better to keep it
small and simple?
8) HTML/java tags allowed/disallowed?
9) Type face recommendations: Times Roman, Helvetica (sp?),
etc. Size: 12 pt, etc.
The project is going to take a good two weeks to realisitcally
get done. Will announce date, place, etc, and if I had
enough submissions to make it worthwhile. I'd say more than
15 would be necessary. Otherwise I'm dragging around
lots of dead weight of service to nobody. Have a nice weekend.
