My Fellow Brothers,

It is my duty to share with you the tragedy that occured in St. Peter, MN.
As my fellow alumni, Kat Zibell, has said on-line, there were many twisters
to go through this small college town. We are all thankful that school was
out so that the injuries were kept to a minimum. I visited the town on
Monday, the day after the storm. Words cannot describe what I saw. The
once beautiful campus and town is a mess. There are absolutely no trees in
the town and glass covers the ground from the blown out windows. There is
no building on campus that has not felt the effect of the twisters. School
is on hold for two weeks and with the cold, wet weather is hampering
clean-up efforts.

I will have more information at the Section 23/27 conference for those
attending, but for brothers nationwide, there are a few things you can do to
help out if you want. Donations of money to the Red Cross of Salvation Army
are desperately needed. When donating, PLEASE note that it is for St.
Peter, MN tornado relief. Those brothers living around here, volunteers to
clean up are being organized. As far as I know, the Gustavus server is down,
so any messages can be sent to me and I will send them along as they come up
online. That is about all I have for now. As a alum of the college, it
broke my heart to see all of the damage, and I encourage all of you to keep
the residents of St. Peter in your hearts for the upcoming months.

In Leadership, Friendship, and Service,

Todd A. Mayer
Section 23 Chair
