Dustin--
While I DO think that your reply to Brother Cammy might have been
just a trifle too harsh, I do agree with many of the points you brought
up. I personally have NO problem with the National Fraternity being
coed, and have no problem with the National Fraternity's decision that
all new chapters represent the students of their school. I do wish that
those chapters wishing to remain all-male simply be allowed to do so.
I know that this will not happen, as there are Brothers out there
who hate our very existence...just as I know that there are Brothers out
there form all male chapters who are complete [insert expletive of choice
here] about it. At least more people seem to be willing to talk about it
rather than argue about it, and this alone leadss me to believe, however
naively, that a suitable compromise can be reached. Time will tell...
Any way, I just wanted to say thank you for bringing up some of
the points that you did, but I do think that your reply to Brother Cammy
WAS a bit on the harsh side. Hope fully, coller heads will prevail and
this can be worked out.
Thanks!
Dave
