In most cases student fares are the same price as the lowest excursion
(round trip super saver) or something close to it. That's because the
student fare doesn't have the usual restrictions on it, and the fare is
most advantageous to someone that is going to school and staying over 30
days. This disqualifies most people for the discounted fares, resulting
in having to pay hundreds more per person. But the student fare is
unrestriced in the maximum stay, and usually just has the advance
purchase restriction.
