Hi Guys,
My name is Christy Lawson, a brother of the Delta Theta Chapter at the
University of Louisville. I'm posting in hopes that my fellow brothers can
lend some advice and/or experiecne.
A few years back the chapter here at U of L became active once again (yeh!),
starting with only a couple of members we have grown to a whopping 41
actives(I believe).
Until recently the Delta Theta Chapter has been able to accept any one who
felt that they belonged. This semester we were faced with the prospect of
having more pledges than actives. This was a SCARRY thought for us (this
would not actually happen, we have adopted a policy to only accept as many
pledges as we have actives). If this had occurred, how would we choose? In
light of this question, a committee has been formed to create some sort of
policy for our chapter to follow.
Our committee has meet for the first time and I feel a lot was accomplished(so
far). The question I pose to you....How does your chapter select "Rushees"
for initiation and on the same token, how does your chapter select pledges for
activation. (Please do not flame me for using 'select'.)
Thanks for you help
