Being a female member, I prefer to be called a brother.
As for why....
>From Webster....
fraternity - 1: a group of people associated or formally
organized for a common purpose, interest, or pleasure: as
a: a fraternal order {.....} 2: the quality or state of
being brothers : Brotherliness .....
brother - [.....] 4: one related to another by common
ties or interests .....
We are a fraternity, not a sorority, a fraority, a sorternity
or any of the other PC terms people have tried to come up
with in the past, so we are brothers. To me, to say that
I am a sister is to differentiate me from the rest of the
members. We are all the same in this fraternity, all brothers.
