This weekend: October 15th&16th is the weekend of the yearly
JOTA (Jamboree on the Air) for contacts among scouts around
the world on Ham & Packet Radios.
For the first time this year, they are experementing with a
JOTIRC (Jamboree on the Internet Relay Chat) at the same time.
(Internate Relay Chat is sort of like typed CB radio, in that
large numbers of people can all on at the same time, but
each persons liek is printed separately)
If you have access to IRC, please consider stopping by the
#scouting channel this weekend. (/join #scouting is
the normal procedure)
The normal channel of APO discussions called #aposoc should
also be running.
(JOTA has already starrted since it is already Saturday in Asia &
Australia)
