My chapter has done a few fundraisers that have made some money.

1. Sell t-shirts. Last fall, I designed and marketed an APO tshirt, mostly
over the APO-L and APOSOC-L lists, but also at multiple regional conventions.
All told, I sold over 150 of them, and made over $400.

2. Sponsor a greek sales store on campus. There are no greek sales stores
in our area, and the bookstore doesn't do letters, so many greeks here sponsor
a store from the Washington, DC area to come up for a day. Little work is
involved, and we make 10% of all clothing sales, generally about $50.

3. Candy sales. We buy multiple candies in bulk (ie Price Club, Sam's Club),
put them in ZipLoc baggies, and off we go, selling them at 50 cents each. We
have things like M&M's, Kit-Kats, Skittles, blow-pops, and starburst. Vending
machines cost 60 cents, so students prefer to buy from us. Generally, we make
about $80 over a very casual month of sales.

4. 50/50 Raffle. 50% of the $1 ticket price goes to the winner, and 50% to
the chapter. With agressive marketing, you can make up to a few hundred dollars
on these, but make sure your school allows gambling of this sort! We have to
register with the school, and use their special tickets for this purpose.

I hope all these ideas help! In L,F,S,
