The soon-to-be petitioning group here at Oklahoma State University is
going great! We just got through spending the last two days making
Halloween Costumes for underpriviledged children for free ... all
supplies and manpower was donated :-) I can't begin to tell you how
many power rangers, vampires, ninjas, witches, etc. that we made, but
we certainly had fun doing it.
Our next project is to help out with the Boy Scout Camparee next week.
We are planning on doing 6-9 competitive events in the morning and then
do some fun activities in the afternoon with the skits & campfire that
events. We are looking for it to also be a lot of fun. A few of us do
have formal ties with scouting; however, many of have little or no
previous formal scouting experience. Since there appears to be many
Eagle scouts and others experienced in this area on this listserv, I
was hoping you would give us some unique ideas on competition events (&
fun events also) to have. Even if you do not have the big scouting
backgrount, we would still appreciate your suggestions. I look forward
to hearing from many of you!
