Well, almost arrived. The demo is part of what Google calls an experiment it plans to launch this summer. With Duplex, a small number of people will be able to book restaurant reservations and hair appointments and to check holiday hours, stuff youd normally do over the phone. All of that back and forth happens on the back end between Google Assistant and, say, the restaurant. You wont even hear the conversation taking place. Itll come from an unspecified phone number, not your own number.<br /><br />Smart Compose also recognizes context. For example, if its Friday, it might suggest closing out your message with Have a great weekend! Google says the Smart Compose feature will start to appear for consumers over the next few weeks and will be integrated for G Suite customers within the next few months. Make sure youve enabled the new Gmail in order to use it when it becomes available.<br /><br />A neural network will try to infer the colors that likely work best in the photo like turning the grass green, for example. Getting other things right like skin tone, perhaps could be more tricky; so the team isnt launching the feature until its really right, they said. The new Google Photos features were announced along with news of a developer preview version of the Google Photos Library API, that allows thirdparty developers to take advantage of Google Photos storage, infrastructure and machine intelligence.
