To the Safe-Riding community:

Shuttletrack is back up, at shuttletrack.mit.edu.

Right now, we're still in the beta mode, which means that the
coverage is not at 100%. We will continue to update it as the semester
goes on. However, the website works, and we'd like to get comments from
you, the users, on ways to improve things or particular aspects you might
be interested in seeing.

Feel free to pass this e-mail along, though we do request that you
not post it to a list you are not a member of.

So check it out, track your route of choice, and let us know what
you think: shuttletrack@mit.edu.

Some questions and answers appear below. It's not a FAQ, because
we just made them up.

Happy tracking,

Sam Korb and Ilia Mirkin
shuttletrack@mit.edu

Q:	Why did you do this?
A:	We use Saferide. We missed Shuttletrack. We thought we could fix
it. We were right.

Q:	Oh no! My route isn't being tracked! What can I do?
A:	As we said above, coverage is not yet at 100%. We'll continue
updating the site, and from day to day, different vans are on different
routes, so it might be working later. Also, for the first few days, the
van might not be assigned to the correct route. On the webpage, choose
"View Routes" and then by view by van number to check each one.

Q:	Why is the site so ugly?
A:	We don't do graphics beyond maps and little van icons, sorry.
There's a "Design the Face of Shuttletrack" contest in the works. Stay
tuned.

Q:	Wow, this is awesome, but it would be cooler if you had foo. What
should I do?
A:	shuttletrack@mit.edu would love to hear all about foo. We'll see
what we can do for you.
