After successful recent ballistic and nuclear bomb tests, North Korea has
threatened the United States with nuclear strikes. This week, the Pyongyang
regime stated that the Korean Peninsula is headed for thermo-nuclear war,
told foreign diplomats to leave North Korea and advised foreigners to leave
South Korea. Today, it has two medium range Musudan-1 missiles prepared
for immediate launch from its east coast.Its decision time on North Korea.What
should the U.S. do if, as expected, North Korea goes ahead and
launches the two Musudan-1 missiles? Fortunately, our Aegis Combat System
has the ability to calculate their trajectory within seconds. If the Musudan-1
missiles are heading for open water, we should let them fly, but
be sure to collect the debris for analysis. Remember, Kim Jong Uns
game is to provoke the United States (and Japan and South Korea)
into military action. We should not play into his hands if not
necessary.If, on the other hand, Aegis calculates the trajectory as headed
for land (such as Guam, Japan, Okinawa, or South Korea), we need
to be prepared to not only take out those missiles with missile
interceptors, but also immediately take out their missile launchers with
Tomahawks. At that point, we should also take out the eight Musudan
missiles the North Koreans are holding in reserve in tunnels along their
Eastern coastline.Earlier this week, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) detected
that North Korea had begun to deploy

through emails, texts or other forms of electronic correspondence, according
to recently released internal agency documents.The documents, which were
obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request by the American Civil
Liberties Union, reveal that tax department agents have been operating under
the assumption that they can bypass warrants. The ACLU claims this would
in turn violate the Fourth Amendment.According to a 2009 IRS employee handbook,
though, the tax agency said the Fourth Amendment does not protect emails
because Internet users dont have a reasonable expectation of privacy in
such communications.A lawyer for the agency reiterated the policy in 2010.
And the current online version of the IRS manual says that no
warrant is required for emails that are stored by an Internet storage
provider for more than 180 days."This is an affront not only to
our system of checks and balances, but also to our fundamental right
to privacy," Colorado Democratic Sen. Mark Udall said in a statement Thursday,
adding that he wants Congress to overhaul the Electronic Communications
Privacy Act.In the meantime, I urge the IRS to reconsider its overreach,
he said.The ECPA is the federal law that governs law enforcement access
to emails, and draws on what some say is an outdated distinction
between email stored on a server for 180 days or less and
email that has been opened.O

together to defeat amendments that could significantly alter the legislation.Even
more uncertain, though, is the conservative-led House, where a bipartisan
group is also crafting an immigration bill, though timing of its release
is uncertain. Many conservatives in the House remain opposed to citizenship
for immigrants who have been living in the U.S. illegally.In addition to
the new details on criteria for future citizens, other significant elements
of the Senate legislation are also known, through comments from senators
or aides, leaks or statements by outside groups.The bill is expected to
provide a 13-year path to citizenship for people living here illegally who
qualify, but only after a new southern border security plan is in
place, employers have adopted mandatory electronic verification of their
workers' legal status and a new electronic entry-exit system is operating
