A 72-year-old former employee of a Florida trucking company went on a
shooting spree Saturday, attacking former co-workers and his ex-boss, killing
two and wounding two more before killing himself, authorities say.Hubert
Allen Jr shot the men at several locations in and near the
North Florida community of Lake Butler, according to a Union County Sheriff's
Office news release.Authorities said Allen shot and killed former co-worker
Rolando Gonzalez-Delgado, 28, around 9 a.m. According to MyFoxOrlando.com,
he then headed to the company owner's farm, where he shot and
killed a farmhand and the owner, Marvin Pritchett.A few minutes later, he
pulled over where another former co-worker was driving a farm tractor, exchanged
words with him and then fired one shot from a shotgun, authorities
said. That victim, 66-year-old Lewis Mabrey Jr., was in good condition and
receiving surgery for a broken arm and other injuries. Not long after that,
Allen went to the company's headquarters and shot 44-year-old David Griffis
in the stomach, the release said. Griffis was in critical condition.Authorities
say Allen then returned to his Lake Butler home and killed himself.
He was described as a longtime employee of the trucking company.Investigators
were working at the five shooting scenes late Saturday and interviewing
witnesses and company employees. The news release said they were working
to determine a motive. The trucking company's website says it employs 400
More than
2,600 firefighters and a half dozen aircraft were battling the blaze. The
fire is burning toward the Hetch Hetchy reservoir, where San Francisco gets
85 percent of its water, and power for municipal buildings, the international
airport and San Francisco General Hospital. Gov. Jerry Brown declared a
state of emergency because of the threats.Officials with the San Francisco
Public Utilities Commission were running continuous tests on water quality
in the reservoir that is the source of the city's famously pure
water.Deputy General Manager Michael Carlin told The Associated Press on
Saturday that no problems from falling ash have been detected."We've had
other fires in the watershed and have procedures in place," he said. The
commission also shut two hydro-electric stations fed by water from the reservoir
and cut power to more than 12 miles of lines. The city
has been buying power on the open market.A 4-mile stretch of state
Route 120, one of three entrances into Yosemite on the west side,
remained closed Saturday. Two other western routes and an eastern route
were open. The Associated Press contributed to this report.

which government funds could be embezzled discreetly."It was the first time
such a high-ranking family has put down the operation step by step,"
Ding said. "This case has taught us so much about the dynamics
and mechanisms in most Chinese corruption cases."Testimony also revealed
how one of the foreigners, Neil Heywood, demanded more money by threatening
the safety of Bo's son and to expose the family. Gu later
killed him and received a suspended death sentence for the murder. The court
also heard evidence over the weekend about the events surrounding the attempted
U.S. defection bid by Wang, the police chief, in February 2012, an
incident that blew the scandal into the open. Wang said he fled
to an American consulate fearing for his safety after he told Bo
that the politician's wife had murdered a British associate.Bo told the
court that he reacted angrily to Wang's report, slapping him in the
face and smashing a cup in fury because he initially thought Wang
was framing his wife for the crime. "I thought he was being
duplicitous. I have zero tolerance for duplicity," Bo said. "I slapped him
in the face."Wang, who testified Saturday, said the violent confrontation
with Bo, his subsequent removal as police chief and the disappearance of
his subordinates who were investigating the murder spurred him to flee to
American officials for safety. He said Bo did not slap him as

JERUSALEM Prominent Israeli Cabinet ministers are calling for a U.S.-led
response to an alleged chemical attack in Syria last week that the
prime minister describes as a "terrible crime."Benjamin Netanyahu told his
Cabinet Sunday that "this situation cannot continue." Justice Minister Tzipi
Livni told Israel Radio that a U.S. response to the alleged poison
gas attack would help discourage future chemical weapons use, but also have
security implications for Israel.Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz told
Army Radio the attack requires a response. He said the chances that
Syria would attack Israel as a result of U.S. action were slim
but that the army should be prepared for such an eventuality.Neither Netanyahu
nor the ministers specified what type of response they were urging. The
U.S. is considering military options.
