:-) I'm glad to see our site isn't the only one that is continually
fighting this kind of fight with vendors. You would think that with
all the academic sites out there using some flavor of UNIX, the UNIX
vendors would learn.
It usually goes something like this:
Salesguy : "And in the next release of SomeOS, we've provided you with a
great new GUI for adding users. Look at how pretty it is!"
Us : "Are there command-line tools available, for batch-adding and
batch removal of users?"
Salesguy : "Why would you want those, when there's a pretty GUI available?"
Us : "Oh yeah, you're completely right. By the way, what are you doing
during the month of August? We have just the job for you..."
