You may need to fiddle with the PAM configuration; basically, comment
out the lines referring to pam_krb4.so. Otherwise, there isn't much
to do. You'll already have usernames in /etc/passwd or NIS, simply
put regular passwords on the accounts by hand with passwd or yppasswd.
I know of no way to convert the Kerberos databases into a Unix-style
password database.
As for removing the software itself, that is a little trickier. You
can use some scripting magic to grovel through the package database to
get the list of files that *should* be installed, and compare that to
the list of files that currently exist. The Kerberos libraries and
headers will stand out this way. As for replacing clients (telnet,
ftp) and servers (telnetd, ftpd), you may have to just track down the
parent package(es) and re-install those packages.
Or, if you are very lucky, the client is a Solaris package itself and
can be removed the usual way.
