Well.... Without knowing which release of krb5 you are trying to build, nor
what platform, I think it will be very difficult to figure out how to help you.

That said, it is probably a very simple problem. I would look at
/usr/include/netdb.h line 295 and see what is conflicting. 


I don't want to make any guessed - but based on the path of you source
tree (~/source/krb-5b5/src/appl/bsd) - would this be the beta 5
distribution - which is years out of date - and has known security
holes? Actually - looking at old versions of krb5 - by the 1.0 release
- the variable ruser is gone from kcmd.c - which leads me to suspect an 
earlier release.

If so - I strongly suggest that you upgrade to a newer version. I
suspect that your compilation problem will be solved.
