NFS

Yes.

Basically we put all of the V4 stuff into the system you would need
to make yourself a full Kerberized client. Why didn't we do all of it?
Well its like this, at the time V5 was nearing completion and we felt
that V5 would be the "real" standard as opposed to V4. However, we
read this list too and know that a lot of people were putting V4 on to
their Solaris systems, to do that completely would have required system
source. We did the part that required system source (ie the NFS system
and adding the RPC authentication flavor)

Anyway, our reasoning is that you can get the source from MIT, compile up
the server, rcmds etc and use them (that's all user level stuff anyway)
and be up and running. Talk to us about V5 when it is in its final form
if you're interested.
